“Grassroots HR is a young and dynamic HR consultancy practice run by myself, Natasha Schofield. My philosophy is simple: business owners should be in control of every aspect of their business, and that includes the staff.
My ambition was always to run my own business so, after graduating from the University of Central Lancashire with a Post Graduate Diploma in People Management and gaining full membership of the Charter ed Institute of Personnel & Development, I set about gaining the experience necessary to achieve my goal.
Through various positions in HR departments in both large and small companies, I became what you can only calla “generalist HR professional”. I have a particular passion for motivation & reward, performance improvement, problem solving and using the right people to grow businesses.
In addition, I keep up to date with changes in the industry so my clients don’t have to. I make it my business to know the latest changes to legislation and the tribunal judgements that affect the law. I am therefore able to provide bang up-to-date advice to clients and share best practice.
My own personal style is down-to-earth; I don’t confuse clients with industry jargon, I act more as an interpreter, explaining how sometimes complex legal points really affect a business on a day-to-day basis, and how to put into practice any changes requir ed by the law. I like to help people, and I believe in fair and equitable relationships between employers and employees. I like also to be part of the team, and work very closely with clients to make sure that I understand their business and their issues.
But enough about me! I’d much rather talk about you, your staff and how I can help your business, so please pick up the phone and give me a call.”
